Even if you’re an expert at hosting events and cooking dinner, having guests over for Thanksgiving can be daunting. There’s a lot of pressure to provide an enormous and delicious Thanksgiving feast, which would stress anyone to breaking point. Even though there is only one week left until the big holiday, there are plenty of ways you can create the best Thanksgiving memories for your guests.
Plan Ahead
Grocery lists of ingredients are good for getting everything you need to make the perfect dinner, but how and when everything is going to be cooked needs to be planned as well. There is a limited amount of space in the kitchen and therefore spaces in the oven, on the stove top, or in the microwave need to be planned ahead to allow yourself enough time to cook everything to perfection.
Get Guests Involved
Your guests are lucky to have someone willing to host a Thanksgiving dinner for them, but that shouldn’t mean they don’t contribute anything to the meal. Assign each guest something to bring, whether it’s a side, dessert, or decoration. This will take some pressure off of you, and allow your guests to feel more involved (and maybe less guilty for eating all of your food).
Follow these tips to ensure that your Thanksgiving dinner will be both a successful and delicious one. We wish you the best and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family.
